In response to the query about surgical lint for grass, unfortunately Boots don't do this any more and nor, it seems, do Superdrug. It is still sold in a number of smaller independent Chemist chains, including Coop Chemists (I bought some in their Totnes branch a few weeks ago). Best to look around next time you see one of the smaller shops.

The scenes of Somerset; my first love affair with trains. Was raised in Bath during and after the war years and saw every engine imaginable pass the cuttings and bridges I frequented. While far removed in time and space I am yet moved by such work as yours...

As a complete novice where railways are concerned I am naturally surfing the Web for any snippets of info available.....My abilities as a modeller in general I would consider good but my knowledge of railways is very limited. Your site is one of the best I have seen so far and it has given me a few ideas. Where I really fall down is with 'Terminology'...... must get to grips with more books.

Very impressed with Bleakhouse Road @ the Watford exhibition last weekend. By far the best layout there. This quality is often hard to find @ most exhibitions it seems. Website is also very well put together. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Reference to you on Scalefour / Masokits re couplings.

I am a member of EMGS, Scalefour and BRMA and I am interested in the BR WR & LMR 1959 to 1964 period, but like you I can stretch to earlier and later periods.

I like the two tone green Class 47 and 25 diesels. This is a very attractive, but short lived, livery. I also think that the all over yellow front end on the 47s is pleasing.

I am also an S&D fan so your site is also interesting to me for that reason.

Just out of curiosity do you know if the roof of Bath green Park was originally covered in slate or was it always corrugated iron ?

( Corrugated Iron is a an underappreciated product. Although it originated in GB it was and still is widely used in Australia. )

Finally ( at last ! ) I like your site and your modelling is to a high standard.

regards, PGM
