Hello and welcome to my world of model railways here at: www.enginewood.co.uk

48706 waits at Engine Wood                                               44422 arriving at Bleakhouse Road

This site is about what interests me in the world of railway modelling and the layouts and model projects I have been involved with.

As you can see from the S&D crest, my main railway interest is in the Somerset and Dorset line. My models are generally set in the period of time between 1959 and 1964, although I make no secret of the fact that I occasionally 'stretch' history if it means I get to run other locos and stock that interest me!

Most of my modelling is of standard gauge prototypes. I model in 4mm scale, in 16.5mm gauge (ie. 'OO') to finescale standards and also in P4.

Other projects have been in '005' (4mm scale, 5mm gauge - narrow gauge prototypes) and '16mm' narrow gauge garden railways. You can find out more about these projects in 'Other Items'.

Information on my two current exhibition layouts 'Engine Wood' and 'Bleakhouse Road' and also my new P4 layout 'Callow Lane' can be found by clicking on 'Model Layouts'.
